New Podcasts and Mad Men Mania

I know it seems like it's been a long time. It kinda has. There was only one podcast in June and it shouldn't have really counted, because it was a special theme show. July had one..that's right ONE podcast and I haven't even gotten around to posting it yet. There is also the first August podcast that is yet to be posted, no telling if there will be one more to squeeze in, in this last full week of August. I told you this thing would be crazy sporadic. Funny, I thought I would have more time during the summer to crank these bitches out. It's only now that school is back in session that things are calming down a bit. So..sound the bell, school's back in!

So, please stay tuned because I will be posting the latest podcasts sometime today. And please also be on the lookout for our second theme podcast in the very near future (i.e. first week of September). The theme Mad Men Mania to celebrate one of my favorite television shows, Mad Men. Trust me, it will be fun!!!

P.S. I Love You - The Beatles Edition

The Nite Owl's good friend Alex, suggested that we do an all Beatles show. He doesn't get to hear the old one that used to exist in our neck of the woods anymore. I kindly suggested that he look up the nicey ones that play all Beatles on the ninternets, but he wants us to do it. The lazy arse. So, anyway...thanks to Alex, our first official theme show will be an all Bee-attles show. But, oh no, we won't just be sticking to the Fab Four as you know them, of course there will be Solo-Beatles, Beatle's offspring, and Beatles inspired music too. Trust me, you will enjoy it. I can't lie, I've been wanting to do this for a while anyway, but Alex's suggestion comes just in time for me to be in heat over the Rock Band Beatles trailer. Can't wait! See ya' soon.

March Podcast and Playlist

The Nite Owl Podcast consists of old and contemporary favorites. These casts are sporadic, sometimes I will post several during one week, sometimes just one a month. Sometimes they are half an hour, sometimes well over an hour. It really just depends on how much time I have. One thing that remains consistent about the broadcasts, is that they are unusual and meant to be fun. Sometimes you will hear me (your host), sometimes I remain in the shadows. If you like indie music, oldies (60s British Invasion, 70s disco, 80s electro-pop) and almost everything else mixed in...then you will probably become a fan of my podcast. You can always make requests or suggestions at niteowlpod@gmail.com.

Download the Podcast from March 27th, 2009 here.

Here is the playlist:
- Opening Theme -

Rocket - Smashing Pumpkins
Senior Service - Elvis Costello
